Class Lists for the 25-26 School Year
We are excited to announce that your child's teacher assignment should be available on July 23rd!
By 4:00pm on July 23rd, you will find information regarding your child's teacher located on your Parent Portal. Once logged in, scroll down on the left side to "My Schedule." Click on this and you will find your child's classroom teacher! Ensure you can access your Parent Portal as this is critical in paying fees and gaining information for your student's teacher. Feel free to reach out to Emalee Thomison (emalee.thomison@d49.org) if you need any assistance. Should you want to see your child’s teacher’s profile, go to the Inspiration View Elementary website and scroll down to your child's grade level on our school website. If your child's teacher is not on the website yet, take a look at our Pegasus Press tab to read more about your child's teacher. They are excited to meet your student too!
Orientation Information 25-26 School Year
IVES Kindergarten First Day of School, August 1st will follow a 3-hour Early Release schedule. Students released at 12:40pm. Attendance will be taken and recorded as this will be counted as their first official day of school per the District.
We’re excited to share that the district has made a schedule change that gives us the wonderful opportunity to dedicate a special day just for our amazing incoming kindergarteners!
Kindergarten Orientation will now take place on Thursday, July 31st, with two available time blocks:
- 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM
- 3:45 PM – 4:45 PM
Each kindergarten teacher will be sending out an email with a SignUpGenius link on July 28th so you can choose a time that works best for your family. This orientation will be a great way to:
- Meet your child’s teacher
- Learn about our school
- Drop off school supplies
IVES Kindergarten’s first day of school, August 1st, will follow a 3 hour early release schedule (8:20 AM-12:40 PM).
- Doors open at 8:20 AM - For this day only, parents are welcome to come in and walk their child to their classroom.
- School will officially start at 8:30 AM, and teachers will begin taking attendance.
- Parents will depart from classrooms at 8:45 AM.
- Our kindergarten parents are welcome to join us for our “Tissues and Tea” event, in the library, from 8:45-9:15 AM.
- Kindergarteners will enjoy lunch at their regularly scheduled 10:30 AM lunch time. They may choose a hot lunch (menu coming) or bring a cold lunch to school to enjoy.
- We will start our kindergarten dismissal process at 12:33, with all students dismissed by 12:40 p.m. Students will be walked out the front door with their teacher to be picked up by parents at the end of the front walkway by the crosswalk directly in front of the school.
- Students who get picked up, will be dismissed out front of the building by the crosswalk in front of the school. Feel free to park and walk up to meet your child's teacher to get your student OR stay in your vehicle in the Kiss and Go Lane (we will bring your child to you).
- Neither transportation nor Base 49 will be operating at IVES on August 1st. They will be fully operational on Monday, August 4th.
- Kindergarten families are especially welcome to stay for a bit with their students to enjoy all the fun activities that are planned for the afternoon. These are in more detail in our newsletter.
- If you are unable to come to Kindergarten Orientation, we look forward to seeing your child at their first official half day of Kindergarten on August 1st where attendance will be taken.
Thank you for your flexibility and support as we adjust to this new schedule. We can’t wait to see you on July 31st at Kindergarten Orientation!
IVES Family Orientation 1st-5th grade
We will be hosting 1st-5th Grade Family Orientation in the afternoon on Friday, August 1st. For students in 1st-5th grades, there will be two available sessions for you to choose from and attend. The time frames available are 2:30-3:30p.m. and 3:45-4:45p.m. Please look for a Sign-Up Genius Link from your child’s teacher on July 29th so that you may sign up for a slot.
We are excited to have a bouncy house set up from 12:00-4:00pm to enjoy after a waiver is signed. Thank you to our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) for sponsoring this for our students! Kona Ice and AZ Stuffies will also be on site and available for purchase from 12-4pm.
Additionally, we will have many tables set up in the Gallery as you attend open house to pay fees, inquire about transportation, health room services, nutrition, Base49 after school care, and becoming involved in our SAC and PTO and more! Our first PTO and SAC meeting will be combined and is on Wednesday, Sept. 3rd at 5:00-6:00pm in the library. We hope to see you there!
School Supplies 25-26 School Year
Please click on the grade level of your student to see what supplies they will need to start the year! Please bring these to Family Orientation. You will also see the fees that will need to be paid at the bottom of each list. These fees can be paid on your Parent Portal. Once logged in on your desktop, you will scroll to the bottom (on the left) and click on "Fees and Transportation Services." After you have clicked on this, please select your student's name at the top (next to summary). Select the check box that indicates "add to cart." Click on the shopping cart at the top right. Below we have outlined the fees for each student that needs to be paid in full:

$25.00 Student Fee. Utilized within the classroom to support student learning. ie. supplies for special projects to go with units of study. A portion also supports Music, Art, Movement, and Library.

$35.00 Personalized Learning Fee ie. Personalized learning instructional tools and related training provide a manageable, high quality means to increase academic growth and achievement for our students, such as Lexia.

$30.00 Technology Insurance Fee (Optional). This will cover device damage (Chromebook, iPad, Macbook, etc.) that may occur if your student damages or breaks a device - accidents happen! With the insurance fee, a one-time repair or replacement is covered. Should the device need more coverage, parents will be asked to pay another fee of $30 to cover the device. If you elect not to pay the fee, then the parent or guardian will be billed for the entire cost of the repair or replacement.
